In 1890 Vincent van Gogh wrote he had made three paintings in Auvers of large fields of wheat under troubled skies and Wheat Field with Crows, an oil on canvas, may have been one.  50,3 cm × 103 cm, Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam

Wonderful piece by Van Gogh, one of my favourites. It’s also alluded to in Dreams (1990) by Akira Kurosawa
